Redesigning a blender [Group work]
CAD & 3D Printing (2015)
Team Members: Joel Teh, Frida Christensen and Joanne Quek
Taking apart an existing model of a Philips blender, the project explored the various design opportunities while retaining the original electrical components in the final outcome. The idea of line play and contrast of materials were explored to improve the aesthetics of the blender and tactility of the blender. Accuracy during the building of the product components in CAD softwares was carefully executed for the original electrical parts to fit perfectly into the final 3D printed prototype.
